Africa Information Technology Consultancy has recently confirmed the prestigious International Social Informatics & Digital Society Think Tank Award-2020. This year During July (27-07-2020) his name was nominated by the board of AITC and communicated for the award and also invited with all the travelling benefits from the AITC Nigeria but due to worldwide pandemic he was unable to join ABUJA 2020 Summit (similar of few other awardees); therefore Africa Information Technology Consultancy provides his award material by email and post (through its partner institutes in India
This award offers to Dr. P.K. Paul due to his out standing and international scholarly, academic and policy based activities in Social Computation & Informatics, ICT4D, IT Policies in the context of Developing Countries etc. which are very much fruitful for the development of the society at large.
Dr. P.K. Paul is an International authority at his early age of 36 in the field of Information Science. He has outstanding contribution of morethan 200 papers and about 100 book chapters in his credit. Further he also holds about 25 research based books (authored & edited) He has significant role in justifying and redefining Information Science in social sense. Due to his activities he become members, advisers in different international associations, international conferences and events, academic bodies etc. Very Recently he has been honored with a ‘Distinguished Tag’ and a Honorary Professor position by the Logos University International, United States (also located in Brazil; in South America and Serbia; in Europe, and Online worldwide).
He has contribution is Social Informatics and Digital Society related aspects by his about 100 research papers, 10+ books and 50+ Scopus & SCI Indexed International Journals as a member. Furthermore he also made a significant contribution in designing, advising and developing Social Informatics/ Digital Society educational, training and research based programs and courses in different universities in India and abroad. He said, “even my university (i.e. Raiganj University, West Bengal, India) from where I am salaried there also the Digital Society Course become most popular and attracted a lots of students from different departments and Social Informatics at MPhil/ PhD level, therefore he expressed sincere thanks to his students, teachers, Vice Chancellors, other administrators and family members”.
