BREAKING: PDP Suspends Chairman Named Deputy As Acting Chairman

Pandamonium broke out on Monday in Benue State when the State chairman of the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party {PDP},Hon.John Ngbade was suspended from the party as a result of forgery and impersonation.

Hon.John Ngbede was suspended alongside the state secretary,Hon.Joseph Nyam and state organizing secretary,Hon Moses Audu.They were suspended for a period of 1 month with Imidiate effect.

In a statement written and published by the state publicity secretary,Mr.Bemgba Iortyom, the action was carried at an extraordinary meeting of the State Working Committee of the party on Saturday, 3rd August, 2024, at which 9 out of the 13 members were present and assented to the decision.

The suspended members are accused of forging and impersonating the State Working Committee to achieve their individual aims, instigating violence and crisis during the just concluded ward congresses of the party, and mismanagement of the finances of the party, among other things.

They have been directed to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the party to answer to the charges brought against them within the period of their suspension.

The State Deputy Chairman, Isaac Mffo, is now the State Chairman of the PDP in Benue State in Acting capacity.

Reactions are seen from different quarters bashing the dicision of the State working committee for such a terrible decision, especially now that party was was looking forward of the forth coming local local government election.

Speaking Hon.Ngbede describe his suspension as a child’s place and call on all his supporters to go about their normal business.He also said that he was too linient and that’s why a lot took him for granted but he will surely step up and at the moment he was too busy and he is currently attending to functions in his office.
