Police in Akwa Ibom State says the Command has received a report of the alleged kidnap of the immediate past Senator representing Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Nelson Effiong.
Reports said Effiong was kidnapped in the early hours of today, Monday, at a bar in Uyo, the state capital. He was said to have been whisked away by about four gunmen who were said to have stormed his liquor sit-out on Oron Road, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
