The matter centres on a parcel of land located along Izo-Ali Omuajoku Family Road in Omueke, popularly known as Word-Impact, Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area.
The Omuajoku Family, who are widely believed to be the rightful owners of the land, have raised concerns over what they describe as alleged land-grabbing activities within the area.
Sources indicate that the dispute has drawn attention from key stakeholders, prompting urgent intervention by local authorities.
In a bid to address the situation and forestall any breakdown of law and order, the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government, Charles Wobodo, has scheduled a crucial meeting with the Omuajoku Family and other involved parties.
The meeting is set to take place at the Council Secretariat in Isiokpo.
Community leaders and observers say the outcome of this engagement could play a significant role in restoring calm and ensuring that due process is followed in resolving the dispute.
While speaking with our correspondent, Hon. Nicholas Enyindah revealed the outcome of the meeting with the council chairman, Hon. Charles Wobodo.
Enyindah stated that the council chairman has asked everyone to remain calm and to desist from encroaching on the land. He has directed that a committee will be formed to look into the issue, ensuring that, in the end, the land will be given to the rightful owner.
Land-related conflicts have remained a sensitive issue in several parts of Rivers State, often requiring timely intervention from authorities to prevent escalation.
As of the time of filing this report, all parties are said to be preparing for the high-level engagement, with expectations that dialogue will pave the way for an amicable resolution.
We will continue to monitor developments and provide comprehensive updates as events unfold.
For now, this is a developing story.
