Yet to be identified gunmen have abducted an unspecified number of students.
The students were travelingg along the East-West Road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Allegedly, the kidnapped students were in a Sienna vehicle when they were hijacked on Friday night.
A security source said the Sienna conveying the group of students was coming from Calabar in Cross River State.
The incident happened within the Evwreni axis and the kidnappers are spreading demanding a ransom of N10 million.
Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright said the abductees: “May have been students who were returning from their school in Calabar, Cross River State on Friday night.
“The command is aware of this ugly incident, and we are doing all it takes to ensure that they are rescued unhurt,” the state PPRO tweeted on his X handle Monday night.
