The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has responded to allegations levelled against him that he had received some ₦4Billion from Ex Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu.
In a statement released on the official tweeter account of the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, on Media & Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande has said that the news that is linking the Vice Price President to alleged massive financial embezzlement committed by recently deposed EFCC acting chairman.
Mr. Laolu Akande tweeted that the overwhelming news going round that the Vice President is involved in the billions of Naira allegedly stolen by Magu is all fake news and lies calculated to confuse and concocted to smear Prof. Osinbajo’s image.
He added that the Vice President has not and will never be involved in any such shady activities.
