As a result of the resolve by INEC to bar APC and it’s candidate from contesting the 2019 elections in Zamfara, following it’s inability to meet the deadline for submission of candidates, Former Govbof Zamfara Ato Fayose has raised an an alarm over the attempt by the Buhari administration to impose a state of emergency that will effectively prevent voters from electing their leader.
The former Governor took to twitter where he wrote:
“I have been reliably informed that the FG is plotting to hide under the killings in Zamfara State by armed bandits to impose emergency rule on the state. This is their response to the insistence of INEC not to allow APC field candidates for the 2019 general election in the state.”
Following the crisis in the party the APC currently has no candidate in Zamfara, Rivers state. The APC’s woes has been further complicated by Buharis abysmal performance in office which most Nigerians have described as unacceptable.
