Adeyinka Grandson has been arrested in London for instigating the killing of Igbos in Nigeria. Reports have it that Grandson was arrested at exactly 5:35am by the Scotland Yard Counter Terrorism Command. His arrest was for offences related to Terrorism and Public Order Acts.
During the last General Election in Nigeria, Grandson called for the killing of Igbos residing in Yoruba land for not voting the candidate of their choice.
The arrest is wholly based on controversial activities Grandson has indulged in YouTube videos, Facebook and Tumblr posts; as well as a website linked with the name of the YYF.
The website, however, does not belong to the actual YYF.
Grandson is said to have become quite the specialist in calling for the killing of Igbos who are based in Yoruba land.
Adeyinka Grandson was accused of instigating tribal discrimination against the Igbo people; and for encouraging terrorism all which he denied.
He was later granted a conditional bail. As part of his bail conditions, he cannot access, use, or post on Facebook; as well as YouTube, Tumblr or the website linked with the Young Yoruba for Freedom, which of course does not belong to the YYF.
He has been directed to report back to the Police station on the 2nd of September 2019.
Grandson is a Nigerian based in the United Kingdom. He had previously called for secession. Also, he had threatened the North with the use of chemical weapons should the South-West be attacked under any guise.
