BREAKING:Benue Pastor Pays Bandits A Visit

In the Security meeting held at Ugba on 9th September, 2024 to find out why Criminal activities have persisted in Logo LGA, many people pointed accusing fingers at Mbavuur that, people who are committing Criminal activities in Logo, Benue State are residing in Mbavuur.

For this reason, the Chairman of Logo LGC, Hon. Benjamin Uzenda decided to hold a meeting with Mbavuur on 19th September, 2024 to find out the truth about the accusation.

At the Meeting, Mbavuur accepted that, there are such people residing in their area. However, they have no hand in their coming and have no knowledge about their mission in Mbavuur.

The meeting concluded that, they should be contacted to know about their mission. Hence Rev. J.I Shive, pastor in charge of NKST Abeda Shitile has contributed alot in solving many difficult issues in Mbavuur and Logo at large he was asked to visit them with Rev.Fr. Iber of Abeda Parish.

As Rev. Fr. Iber was on leave, Rev. Shive paid them the visit. On his arrival, they warmly received him. They told him that, they are very happy to see him because through him they can err their views.

They told Rev. Shive that, they are not bandits or terrorists as some people viewed them, but they are instead helping and protecting their people.

According to them, there were several cases of armed robbery and kidnappings in Abeda, Anyiin and other places in Gaambe Tiev. People left their places to come and commit these acts in Logo, because Logo had no one to protect them. This caused some residence and Ibos to desert these markets in Gaambe Tiev to other places for safety.

According to them, since they have come to this place there are no such cases in Abeda and Anyiin as it used to be.

They told Rev. Shive that, their mission is to do away with such acts not just in Gaambe Tiev but Logo at large.

According to them, they are meeting strong resistance from people in Logo and other Local Governments, who are benefiting from such Criminal acts. However, they have strong believed that their mission will be achieve.

Narrating why there are also some criminal activities even with their presence, they said there are still some of the people who are doing that inorder to tanish their image, but they are going to end it.

Conclusively,they said the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia should discuss with their Leader to find a lasting solution to this problem hence they prefer peaceful resolution than violent approach.
