A sad day for commuters as a terrible accident had claimed 12 lives with several others injured.
The auto crash occurred on Monday in the afternoon at Abuja-Kaduna way claiming many lives.
Kaduna Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Hafiz Mohammed confirmed the death on Tuesday.
He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the accident involved a lone Toyota Hiace carrying 18 passengers.
The crash resulted in the injury of six other occupants of the bus.
A tyre burst was identified as the cause. The vehicle was on its way to Zaria in Kaduna.
The FRSC regularly cautions drivers against over-speeding and long-distance trips with expired/unsound tyres.
