A 59 year old chief Imam of Yangoji Central mosque in Kwali area Council Abuja Abdullahi Abubakar and his sons, Aliyu Usman Abubakar and Ibrahim Abubakar have been kidnapped from their home.
The incident happened on Friday around 11:47 pm when the kidnappers invaded the religious leaders home in the community.
They shot and destroyed both the front doors before they gained entrance into the chief Imam’s room and whisked him away alongside his two sons at gunpoint.
The kidnappers later contacted the family and are demanding a 10 million naira ransom.
