Ejemekuru Community Oguta in Imo State came under a serious tension,as soldiers attached to the 34 Artillery Brigade Obinze, Owerri,allegedly shot dead two members of the community’s vigilante.
The sad incident took place yesterday in the morning,while on watch duty in the community.
Sir Kyrian Igwubuike,confirmed the sad news to #9News Nigeria.
He said that,the two vigilante members were on a community watch.
He further claimed that the newly deployed soldiers had shot dead the vigilante members without any provocation from the vigilante members.
He insisted that,the soldiers stormed the vigilante camp in the community and opened fire on the innocent vigilante members killing two,while the rest took to their heels.
When contacted, the army spokesman Lt. Babatunde Subairo of 34 Artillary Brigade,Obinze denied knowlwedge of the incident completely.
