After today’s activity, the press crew visited the Imo State Agricultural Development Programme Centre and saw what was going on there.
Unfortunately, our State Government isn’t thinking widely.
At this time when people are taking Agriculture seriously as the prices of oil dwindles , our Government seems not do anything about it.
When I got to that place, firstly, the environment isn’t encouraging and working into offices, it was highly unfortunate.
Machines that could be deployed to Ihitte/Uboma or any part of Imo State to help in mechanized farming are allowed to stay there lying moribund.
I also bought some seeds from them and I asked, should Government sell those things? Aren’t the meant for distribution to citizens?
Honestly, for any responsible Government who wants to make positive impacts in the lives of her citizens should not allow that particular place to be in it’s present moribund condition. We must get that place working.
Is someone actually diverting funds coming to that place?
Someone should wake Gov. Uzodinma from sleep as it’s not time for Celebration as he’s doing today.
May I also remind Government that as at today, Imo State is the headquarters of unemployment in Nigeria.
We have all it takes to meaningfully engage Ndi Imo for productivity and take Imo out of the media for the wrong reasons.
