Imo State Catholic Laity Council has thrown massive support on the All Progressives Congress APC Governorship Candidate for Imo November 11 Election.
This was in readiness ahead of the November 11 Imo Governorship election as gathered by our correspodent in Owerri.
The Catholic Laity Council has officially endorsed the re-election of Governor Hope Uzodinma and charged all members to vote en-masse Governor Uzodinma to continue in his good works.
This was during a courtesy visit of the New Executive members of the Catholic Laity Council at the Imo State Government House where they pledged their support towards the second term bid of the Governor.
During the meeting, the Grand Patron of the group, Professor Iwu, disclosed that the group was mostly interested in the good works of the Governor and would want to be part of the ongoing progress of the State, even beyond January 15, 2024.
Governor Uzodinma in response to their appraisal attributed his success story to the Grace of God and support from the good people of Imo.
He emphasized the significance of peace and security for the development of Imo State and Nigeria and urged them not to relent in their prayers.
The Executive members of the Catholic Laity Council are the Grand Patron of the Catholic Laity Council, Prof Maurice Iwu, Executive Secretary of the Group, Barr ( Dame) Chisara Egwim- Chima and the Owerri Provincial Council President, Hon. Placidus Onyedika Chijioke.
This endorsement has added to the many votes of confidence on Governor Uzodinma and All Progressives Congress APC government in Imo state Nigeria as 9News Nigeria reports.
Meanwhile, the stage is getting more interesting with party meetings while the electrorates are charged to vote their choice of Governorship candidate among the contestants in the upcoming November Governorship Election.
