Godwin Emefiele, serving Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria CBN has filed a lawsuit against INEC and the Attorney General of the Federation asking the court to declare that he is eligible to vie for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria while still serving as CBN Governor.
In a suit number FH/AC/ CS/610/2022 filed on May 5, 2022 in an Abuja Federal High Court, Godwin Emefiele argued that he will suffer irreparable damage if he is not allowed to stand election into the office of President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
