CCTV captures boyfriend kissing partner just hours before her death in Sydney home

The boyfriend of a young woman found dead at a western Sydney home was captured on CCTV giving her a kiss just hours before her death.

Hayley Mcclenahan-Ernst died at a Kingswood home despite efforts from paramedics in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Max Spencer, 21, was later charged with contravening an AVO, and today had his first court mention at Penrith.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge and did not apply for bail. It was formally refused.

CCTV shows the couple on a night out, bowling and holding hands, just hours before the mother-of-two died.

Mr Spencer’s lawyer Ben Archbold told 9NEWS outside court his client alleges his partner had “fallen over and hit her head”.

“Obviously the police have got an ongoing investigation and we’ll just deal with things as they arise,” he said, in regards to the possibility of additional charges being laid.

Mr Spencer’s partner was pregnant at the time of her death.

A family spokesperson told 9NEWS Ms Mcclenahan-Ernst will be “missed by many”.

“We’re finding it hard to believe our munchkin is gone.”

Mr Archbold asked that his client receive a psychological assessment while in custody, and the matter was adjourned until July 3.

Floral tributes have been left outside the home, which remains a crime scene as police continue their investigation.
