Arsenal star, Jack Wilshere has sent a message to the club fans after picking up an injury in the side’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg on Wednesday night.
Wilshere had blocked a cross from Victor Moses and attempted to play on before being replaced by Mohamed Elneny in the 57th minute of the match.
Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Wilshere had suffered an ‘ankle strain’ at Stamford Bridge.
Wilshere took to his Instagram account to speak to Arsenal fans: “What an honour to be given the armband tonight!”
“Enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks to the fans you were fantastic tonight as always!
“Hope my injury is not to bad and I’m back as soon as possible!”
