China: A one-year-old boy in Suzhou, in east China’s Anhui Province, found himself in a sticky situation after his right thumb got stuck in a steel Silverware holder.
Local firefighters succeeded in setting the kid’s digit free after monumental efforts that saw them cutting through the steel and using tin snips. Pressure mounted as the restless and traumatized baby cried and sobbed loudly.
The boy’s mother tried to calm her son down as rescuers sliced through the holed container with a circular saw, pouring water to cool the heated surface.
They eventually freed the boy’s thumb. Fortunately, the kid sustained no serious injuries, but the horrifying experience will definitely stick with him.
