The church of Nigeria, Anglican communion, Owerri Ecclesiastical province, Diocese of Egbu Naze Archdeaconry, Agbala/Ulakwo parish, Christ Anglican Church Ulakwo celebrated their Mothering sunday in grand style on 27-03-2022, featuring dignitaries from all walks of life.
Our correspodent gathered that the church service was specially designed for the mothers of the Anglican communion who gathered in their numbers to partake in the service.
Speaking at the service, the clergy in charge, Rev Samuel Diala told the women to embrace the ethics of good motherhood approved by the Bible.
In his words, the clergy asked the christian mothers to embibe the virtues of motherhood to make a good society.
Christ church Ulakwo is located along Owerri/Aba express road, few steps from the popular Ulakwo bus stop.
It was indeed a great outing to behold measured by the series of presentations, special songs and prestigious awards to selected dignitaries by the women.
Speaking onbehalf of the mothers the church, the wife of the clergy, Mummy Peace Diala expressed happiness for such a massive turn up of women, church members and visitors who came from various locations to grace the mothers day.
9News Nigeria Owerri was present at the special service where Ambassador Princely Onyenwe recieved a “Distinguished Friend” Award presented on this 27th day of March 2022 at the mothering Sunday Celebration.
In a related development, Holy Trinity Anglican Anglican Church Nekede in Owerri West local government area of Imo state Nigeria had a successful mothering Sunday were Ezinne Lady Charity Onyenwe, Msc Guidian Counseling from the prestigious University of NIGERIA Nsukka, Alvan Ikoku Campus, the lovely Mother of Amb. Princely Onyenwe was blessed with special mothering sunday gifts from her children, wives, in-laws and grand children.
Among other dignitaries that recieved certain degrees of special awards from Christ Anglican Church Ulakwo mothers were, Nze A.O Nnadi, Sir Dr Morrison Amaeshi, Engr Dominic Ezedike and Rotr Engr Collins Onuoha.
