This particular Staff carries on him fake payment receipts, Letterheaded papers of both the Local government and the State Workers Union (NULGE) with which he writes dully signed notes exempting his victims from further scrutiny by bonafide Staffs of the LCDA after collecting huge sum of money from them as their statutory annual levies payable by business owners within the jurisdiction of the LCDA.
Our findings has established that this individual was released on bail by the Police authorities after writing an undertaken and a confessional statement contrary to the expectations of all .
We hereby sincerely call on the relevant authorities to ensure the adequate prosecution of this matter until justice is seen to be established. Also , such blatant acts of criminality which deprives the Local government system of the ability to execute the much needed people oriented projects within their communities should be discouraged by melting out appropriate sanctions to such erring officers. The Lagos state Local Government Service Comm should take the necessary steps in ensuring that professionalism is promoted among general staff and criminals who bring the image of the service into great disrepute are disciplined in accordance with the guilding rules and established principles of the Civil Service. Doing this will serve as a deterrent to many others who engage in similar acts of illegality
