Report reaching 9News Nigeria from on-ground reporters has it that there is commotion and confusion at the Nigerian National Assembly premises and entrance.

According to the report, Security agents including members of the Department of State Services have invaded the National Assembly early this morning blocking entrance to the premises and chasing designated personnels out of the premises.

9News reporter and other media reporters and journalists were all barred from entering the National Assembly premises without any cogent reason given for the barricade.

There is suspicion that the action may not be unconnected to the purported plan of the APC members of the National Assembly to impeach the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremmadu.

It is not yet clear if the APC members of the National Assembly have had access to the National Assembly and seating prior to the invasion and barricade by the security agents including DSS.

Meanwhile, non of the National Assembly leaders were in sight at the time of this report. However, other law makers were prevented entrance into the National Assembly premises.
