Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has warned his players to clean up their act.
The Italian spoke to his squad on Monday during training, after seeing four of them sent off in their last three competitive matches. Last season, no single Chelsea player saw red in the Premier League.
However, Victor Moses was dismissed in their FA Cup defeat to Arsenal in May. Pedro was sent off in their Community Shield defeat to the Gunners and both Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas saw red in their 3-2 defeat to Burnley on Saturday.
Former captain John Terry was the last Blues player to be dismissed in the League, against Sunderland in May 2016.
During the inquest on Monday, Conte was especially furious over Fabregas’ red, as he had cautioned his players at half time, not to fall foul of referee Craig Pawson after Cahill’s first-half exit.
The champions now have their squad stretched with Eden Hazard and Tiemoue Bakayoko both injured.
Moses is will return for Sunday’s game against Tottenham, while Pedro is also expected to recover from an ankle injury to make the trip.
