The Contractors handling Imo roads are warned to stop playing games with the project as Governor Hope Uzodinma will no longer tolerate delay and exhibition of unseriousness.
Recalling the sufferings people passed through on these roads, contractors are expected to speed up work at various work sites now that the dry season has set in.
On the side of government, contractor are to be financially mobilized to be able to fund their work and give the state the deserving services needed.
Regrettedly, grapevine source told our correspondent that lack of mobilization funds (Money) is affecting the speed of work in the State and also may it’s abandonment by contractors.
Though the allegation is yet to be verified, Governor Hope Uzodinma has vowed to leave above his predecessors by given Ndi Imo quality roads just as Umahi did in Ebonyi state and Akpabio also did in his state before he became the Senate President of the Federal Republic.
However any ‘Politricks’ being played with the recent state of roads across the zones and inclusively some abandoned rural community roads will definitely affect the government.
On this therefore the shared prosperity administration led by Governor Uzodinma is keenly interested in giving Imo quality roads as gathered by 9News Nigeria.
The Leo-9 Construction company and others handling the works are not at speed on this particular Nekede -Ihiagwa-Obinze road which has lingered for years.
One can easily see the condition of Nekede -Ihiagwa-Obinze Obinze -Naze- Urrata roads since the creation of Imo state Nigeria.
Unarguably, Imo that was created since 1976 is still battling with governance. But hopefully, Uzodinma’s administration is saddled with enormous developmental challenges to defeat in this second tenure.
An insider from government circle told 9News Nigeria that all hope lies on Governor Uzodinma to make APC and Imolites proud by completing the quantum of road works embarked upon by his administration across the three zones of the state.
She also told us that making the seaport project, Ohaji modular refinery, roads etc a living reality is possible with Uzodinma’s administration only if he can open his administrative foresight to developing Imo state Nigeria.
“Imo truly need to go beyond the rising after 47 years of creation as a state. Ie Growing to an enviable state with enormous developmental strides and economic expansion.
“We expect the 3R Shared Prosperity administration to help out and mobilize contractors at various road sites to start work without further delay to complete the projects embarked upon as at due time.
Within Obosima and Avu axis, the stage of work at the time of filling this report is encouraging but contractors are to be checked upon to record good progress as 9News Nigeria reports.
Recall that it is the right of Imolites to enjoy good roads including some other basis amenities, security of lives and properties.
