An Ikorodu Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday remanded two men Timothy James and Moses Orban, after pleading guilty to stealing 88 crates of egg worth N400,000 and N2.2million cash.
James, 27, and Orban, 25, whose addresses were not provided, are charged with felony to wit theft.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr B. A. Shonuga, ordered that the defendants be remanded at a correctional centre until March. 5 for review of facts and sentencing.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Aminu Isaac told the court that the defendants committed the offence between Oct. 2025, to Jan.19, at Plot 296, Fish farm Estate, Odogunyan area of Ikorodu, Lagos.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendant stole N2.2million cash and 88 crates of egg worth N400 belonging to Mr Kelvin Emmanuel.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 411, and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
