Court Remands Former Nigerian Banker For N23.5m Fraud

Federal Court in PortHarcourt, Rivers state has remanded a former banker, Fasiku Olusegun Raphael, in custody for alleged theft.

The accused was arraigned before Justice P I Ajoku, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday.

Olusegun, a former staff of First City Monument Bank, FCMB, was arraigned on a six counts bordering on sealing and currency counterfeiting to the tune of twenty – three million, five hundred thousand naira (N23.5m).

The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren, who disclosed this in statement on Tuesday said Olusegun was arraigned by the PorHarcourt zone of the Commission.
