The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has suspended its discounted fuel supply program.
The decision was communicated in a letter from Fatima Dangote, Group Executive Director of Commercial Operations, to all strategic partners.
According to the management, this decision was made after an internal investigation revealed that some affiliate marketers and strategic partners were diverting subsidized fuel for personal profit.
In response, the refinery officially halted the discount scheme effective July 13, 2025.
Initially launched to offer marketers competitive margins and stabilize nationwide supply, the program allowed approved affiliates to purchase refined products at subsidized rates.
These marketers were reported to have sold their Authority To Collect (ATC) loading tickets to unregistered vendors, allowing them to profit off the price differential—without incurring typical operational, logistical, or regulatory costs.
