
Billionaire industrialist, Aliko Mohammad Dangote has officially retired as Chairman of Board of Director of Dangote Refinery Plc, ending 20 years tenure that shaped the company’s growth and market leadership.
His retirement takes effect from June 16, 2025, according to a statement signed by the company secretary, Temitope Hassan, on Wednesday June 11, 2025.
Dangote, who has been at the helm of leadership since 2005, is credited with steering Dangote Sugar into a market leader in Nigeria’s sugar industry, overseeing major expansion of projects and strengthening corporate governance.
