A Nigerian woman, Patience Addra, whose wedding was called off a day before the the ceremony, has advised her followers on Facebook to date people who handle conflict with maturity.
Patience and Azi Abok’s wedding was scheduled for Saturday, April 5,:2025 in Anguldi, Zawan, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, but was unexpectedly called off on Friday, a day to the wedding date, over church denominational differences.
Initially, it was alleged that Patience allegedly called off the wedding due to denominational differences.
According to the bride who shared her side of story, said the wedding was naturally called off by the groom’s mother after Patience, who is a Catholic, initially said she would attend her church after the marriage.
The groom is a dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN).
In a Facebook story on Thursday April 10, 2025.she wrote: “Date someone who handles conflicts with maturity”
“You can’t eat your cake and have it”, she added.
