Leyton Orient’s wondergoal was not enough to see them past reigning Premier League champions Manchester City
Premier League giants Manchester City needed a late goal from captain Kevin de Bruyne to save them from an embarrassing result against League One side Leyton Orient in the FA Cup
Despite conceding an early wonder goal, the Cityzens rallied back late in the second half to overcome the set-back and an inspired Leyton Orient side 2-1 to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Cityzens overcome tricky Leyton Orient
Despite being the dominant side from the start, Manchester City conceded a freak goal as Jamie Donley attempted to chip Stefan Ortega from almost the halfway line.
Donley’s effort hit the crossbar and ricocheted off Ortega into his his own net to give Leyton Orient a 1-0 advantage after only 16 minutes.

Even with their financial might compared to their lowly opponents, Manchester City still struggled to make inroads against Leyton Orient and had to wait until the second period when substitute Abdukodir Khusanov found an equaliser to make it 1-1.
After introducing Phil Foden and de Bruyne into the fold, Manchester City finally found the winning goal they had desperately searched for when the latter struck on the cusp of 80 minutes to give the Cityzens a 2-1 lead.
