In a show of solidarity with the Nigerian Armed Forces and deep respect for the late Brigadier-General Musa Uba, the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Rtd, has visited the family of Brigadier-General Musa Uba in Abuja on Thursday to condole with them over his death.
In a statement posted on X, the Minister met with the wife and children of the late Commander and paid glowing tribute to him, describing him as a brave and dedicated officer, whose service reflected the highest ideals of the Nigerian Armed Forces. General Musa reiterated the Federal Government commitment to honouring fallen personnel and strengthening the fight against terrorism and other security threats.

Brigadier-General Uba, who was the Commander of the 25 Task Force Brigade in Domboa, Borno State, was killed by ISWAP terrorists after being captured.
His death followed an ambush on November 14, 2025 ,along the Burum-Kubua axis of Donbua LGA, where troops and Civilian Joint Task Force Force members came under heavy attack.
Two soldiers and two CJTF members were killed on the spot. General Uba initially escaped and communicated his location to military authorities, prompting deployment of ground and air rescue.
He was later captured and executed by ISWAP, who released a video of the killing on November 17.
