Imo Palliatives: His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma has warned those responsible for the distribution and sharing of palliatives in the state to follow government directives.
The Governor added that the 50kg trailer bags of rice is expected to be shared at all the polling units respectively across the wards and communities in Imo state Nigeria Nigeria.
This announcement came after a tip off call from some wards in the state on the sharing method which seems to be going against the orders of government.
Some syndicates monitoring the sharing of palliative across polling units have reported the process as well organized while pointing out that in certain wards the attitudes of some political leaders and government officials are going counter productive against government directives.
“The rice are not to be horded by any leader of political appiontee but to be shared to the indigents across political parties at respective polling units.
The sharing of Imo palliative has to be supervised by party executives, appiontees, leaders alongside government syndicates at work in various LGAs.
“It must get to the grassroots, therefore share it as directed. Those responsible for the distribution must not discriminate, warning that any report of bias or favouritism and hoarding would be dealt with decisively- Gov Uzodinma Warns.
In furtherance, the Governor has ordered security agencies alongside the All Progressives Congress APC members in each polling units to help out in making sure that the process of distribution is successful.
In finality, any party leader found wanting or spotted being involved in any shady deals in contrary to the sharing pattern as directed by the Governor will be sacked and seriously dealt with.
The sharing is expected to go grassroots to put smiles on the faces of benefactors to cushion the effects of subsidy while thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for his witty ideas and intervention.
