On Monday, some youth groups staged a protest, asking the INEC in Port Harcourt not to issue certificates of return to the winners.

The president of the National Youth Council of Ogoni People, NYCOP during the protest described the conduct of some INEC officials and security men as a shame.

On his part, the state assembly candidate of the Social Democratic Party for Khana Constituency One, Prince Morris in a protest letter submitted to the INEC, asked the commission to declare him the winner of the election.

The Head of Voters Education and Publicity Department Mark Osolor while receiving the protest letter assured the protesters of transmitting their request to the headquarters of INEC in Abuja.
