A tense scene played out in Kano as teenage boy climbed a tall billboard near Gadar Lado Bridge, refusing to come down unless Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf arrived.
The incident drew large crowds and triggered a major rescue effort involving Federal and State fire services alongside security agencies after hours of negotiation, the boy was safely brought down and taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Although, his exact motive remain unclear, but the act points to deeper frustrations among some youths.
