His Royal Highness Eze Morison Eke, PhD, Omadike of Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community in Owerri West local government area of Imo state Nigeria has welcome home one of his first class illustrious Son, Chief Oha Dr Geoffrey Onyeukwu, MD/CEO Northwest Procedures Medical Centers, Gary, Indiana USA, amidst crowds of dignitaries in the area.
The event took place at the traditional Palace of HRH Eze Morrison Eke on Easter Saturday dated 16 day of April 2022 as reported by 9News Nigeria.
Eze Omadike while addressing the crowds of Nekede people and visitors at the occasion x-rayed the high level of unassailable records Oha Onyeukwu has established both in Nekede Owerri Imo state Nigeria and in the diaspora where is based.
Chief Oha Dr Geoffrey Onyeukwu who expressed happiness on interaction with his people having stayed long overseas and long wanting to have such an amazing session at his country home thanked his People for such a wonderful warm reception.
As a Medical practitioner, Dr Onyeukwu Ohazurume has his specialty on family medicine with Obstetrics and a wound care specialist.
Born in Lagos, he had his primary education at St Judes primary School Ebute Metta lagos state NIGERIA.
He later moved with his parents to Enugu state and was promoted to primary 4 instead of primary 2. However, Dr Onyeukwu completed his Primary school at St Barths primary school ,Asata Enugu and
Graduated from St Augustines Grammar School Nkwerre.
He is an old boy of Holy Ghost college Owerri where he spent a year in lower 6 and thereafter continued at University of Ife.
It is true to note that Nekede people are, hospitable, industrious and highly educated, Dr Onyeukwu Graduated from University of Ife , ile-ife with BSc (hons ) health Sciences, MBCHB.
He is MD at Indiana University, Indiana USA while practiced in states like Kano , lagos and currently in USA.
He is married to an Nekede woman with children , two of who are medical doctors like him while others read Law and Computer Engineering.
In his words, “I will do everything possible to improve my Community and join the course to protecting our custom and tradition having been invested into the prestigious order of Oha titleship.
Meanwhile, Eze Omadike has approved his Oha titleship designate pending a forthcoming coronation that will be done with the assistant of council of Ndi Oha Owerri West local government area.
Our correspodent gathered that Oha Onyeukwu has employed both Nigerians and foreign nationals in his Hospital and with his Geoffrey Onyeukwu Foundation, many qualified and skilled Nekede citizens will be employed.
Speaking at the event, Dr Onyeukwu told the press his readiness to improve Umuoma Nekede through his kind heartedness, philanthropy and supportive of all progressive individual, family and community actions.
“My foundation named GEOFFREY ONYEUKWU MD Foundation is supportive and render skilled training for all mothers because if you pull a mother from poverty, you will pull all members of her family and make a better society.
“My foundation deals on Free preventative and curative care to the indigent and also run free consultations to the indigent.
“We provide entry level to corporate Nigerian life by institutionalized supportive education and standard maintenance in industry. We also Educate females on their rights in everyday life and many other target areas to salvage humanity and improve our land, Ohazurume Onyeukwu hinted.
The event was a top notch, full of fun and lovely interactions from various groups which followed with a red carpet merriment alongside presentations of gifts and special appreciation from the Celebrant Ebubedike Ogwudire 1.
Surveyor AUD Nwosu, a one time Commissioner of Lands, Survey and Urban Planning in Imo State came with his entourage among other Official of Government.
Umuoma Royal Cabinet URC, Umuoma Peoples Assembly UPA, Council of Chiefs, Chairmen of Towns, Women and Youth groups, gentlemen of the press and many Dignitaries too numerous to mention graced the occasion.
It may interest our readers to note that before this prestigious title of Ohazurume Umuoma Nekede, Chief Oha (Dr) Geoffrey Onyeukwu was conferred Chieftency title once 2004 as Ebubedike Ogwudire 1 of Umuoma Nekede. He was happy to interact with his people at such a memorable occasion.
