CRIME: Seventy Four (74) suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State, seizing seven exotic cars, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, and other incriminating items, pending court charges post-investigations, 9News Nigeria reports.

Yahoo++ boys as popularly called were arrested on a deep intelligence gathering placed on them from various locations.

It is no longer News that this type of crime is on the increase after several warnings against it’s practice failed. 9News Nigeria authoritatively confirmed that EFCC arrested 74 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ogun state.

Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 arrested seventy-four(74) suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State.

The alleged fraudsters were arrested at Government Residential Area, G.R.A, Shagamu, in Ogun State following surveillance and intelligence exposing their suspected internet-related offences.

Items recovered from them included seven exotic cars, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, one PlayStation 3 game, two motorcycles and other incriminating documents.

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded as EFCC affirmed at the time of filling this report by 9News Nigeria.

Against this backdrop, many witnesses who spoke to 9News Nigeria confirmed the high rate of Internet fraud going on in the state and country at large while calling on EFCC to swiftly delve into similar action to unravel politicians and workers who indulge in such crimes codedly.

In addition, “Online fraud is equivalent to political and administrative frauds committed on daily basis because nobody is sacred cow, the people lamented.
