Newly appointed Commissioner for Capital Territory Development in Ebonyi State, Barrister Onyekachi Nwebonyi has been accused of destroying at least five vehicles in Abakaliki, the state capital.
9News Nigeria gathered that the vehicles were destroyed by the Commissioner’s led “thugs and touts” in charge of illegal parking.
Speaking with 9NEWS NIGERIA correspondent, one of the drivers whose vehicle was destroyed cursed the Commissioner for destroying his vehicle which he uses for transportation service to feed his family.
“I can’t go to work again because my vehicle has been destroyed by the thugs of Onyekachi Nwebonyi, Commissioner for Capital Territory”.
“I place curse on him today. He will die a painful death for destroying our vehicles. Go to the other area, you will see how he destroyed people’s goods”.
Meanwhile, Ebonyi State House of Assembly on Friday summoned the Commissioner for unwholesome destruction of property and molestation of Ebonyians.”
