Former Vice Chairman, Akoko Edo Local Government Area, Hon. Jeffery Obasanmi has congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Edo State 2024 governorship election, Rt. Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu over his election victory.
Shaibu polled 301 votes to as emerge the flag bearer of the party in an election against nine other aspirants on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
Reacting to the victory, Hon. Obasanmi in his congratulatory message sent to Comrade Philip Shaibu said this victory is a victory for all and it should be seen not as victory for the deputy governor alone.
According to his message, “Your Excellency, I want to join others to congratulate you on your victory in the just concluded election. You have demonstrated dedication and competence over the years and your emergence is a testament to how the party has placed trust in you.”
“Edo people believe in you and want you, that our party has done. It’s now time to move on to the next stage and commence preparations for the main campaign ahead of the September election.”
