Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has arrived in Kano State to pay a condolence visit to the Kano State Government and the families of the 16 travelers who were brutally murdered in Uromi, Edo State.
The victims, who were traveling through Edo, were gruesomely burnt alive by unidentified assailants, sparking nationwide outrage and calls for justice.
Governor Okpebholo’s visit follows heightened tensions and ongoing investigations into the horrific attack.
During his visit, the governor is expected to meet with Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, traditional rulers, and the grieving families to express condolences and assure them of the Edo State Government’s commitment to ensuring justice.
Security agencies have launched an intensive manhunt for the perpetrators, while state and federal authorities have condemned the attack.
