EFCC Arrests Bank security, 2 others for ATM Swaps Fraud.

Operatives of the Makurdi zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have arrested three fraudsters who specialize in defrauding innocent Nigerians using bank details obtained through sim swaps and Automated Teller Machines (ATM).

According to the Head Media and Publicity of the EFCC Makurdi Zonal office Mr Dele Oyewale,

the suspects Michael Damhindi 36 years, a security guard with First Bank, North bank area, Makurdi, Chidi Emmanuel Aniekwe 32 years, and Terhemba Iorhen 35 years were arrested at First Bank, North bank, Makurdi, their modus operandi is to station themselves around ATM machines to help those who want to withdraw money.

Items recovered from them included 1 Mazda millennia car, 31 ATM cards of different banks bearing different names, 10 smart Phones, 9 Nokia phones, 2 laptops, 16 starter sim packs, different kinds of SIM cards of various networks, 1 glo modem, 1 flash drive and fake currency notes.

The suspects will be charged to Court as soon as investigations are concluded .
