🟢 Additional holiday is strange – Stakeholders frowned
The Federal Government has approved April 11, 2024, as an additional public holiday for Eid-El-Fitr celebrations, as announced by the Ministry of Interior.
The Minister while speaking to the press, confirmed that the Federal Government has approved Thursday 11th April, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid -El-Fitr.
The Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, while congratulating the Muslim Ummah for a successful completion of a month of spiritual rejuvenation, reiterates President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (GCFR) firm commitment to providing a safe and prosperous Nigeria for all to thrive.
Reactions have continued to criticize the additional holiday while stating that the Thursday additional holiday is strange.
Speaking our correspondent, some critical stakeholders who pleaded to remain anonymous frowned at this extension while stating that the error shouldn’t have happened.
Accordingly, “we knew there will be an eclipse of the Sun when the Moon will pass exactly in its front. It is therefore strange to expect a Crescent Moon after the eclipse”
