Recent happenings have continued to portray RT. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as a lawmaker who seems not to have any understanding of the workings of the law despite his having gone to the Federal House of Representatives where he through fraudulent means, represented the good people of Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor-Okpala Federal Constituency for three consecutive terms of twelve years though without a single achievement other than sharing of cups of rice to selected party loyalists every Christmas.

The Public/Political Affairs Analyst said the Aró Mbutu born politician who had no address before venturing into politics and who presently is the Administrative State Chairman of Imo PDP, has continued to reveal his ignorance of the workings and provisions of the law at every inch of time, the latest been his recent outburst at the Governor of Kano State Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje as reported on This Day Newspaper of Thursday, October 14, 2021.

In his words, Ihedioha said ” when Governor Ganduje [ of Kano State ] made his address, he chose not to recognize me. I wasn’t disturbed. It only confirmed what I already know. Governor Ganduje belongs to the class that won’t admit that I was the man popularly elected as Governor by Imo People. Facts are sacred and our actions in life remain historical and there is nothing we can do about them. Governor Ganduje, I pray that God will give you the courage one day to confess and ask for atonement.”

Going by the above, one can clearly see that Ihedioha is ignorant of the laws he claimed to have made for twelve solid uninterrupted years.

Need I remind Ihedioha that he was never elected Imo Governor in the first place, reasons being that:

  1. He did not merit the 2/3rd majority as provided by the Constitution.
  2. Ihedioha was erroneously declared as winner of that election and he shouldn’t have been declared at all considering his nefarious activities during the election wherein votes allocated to Ihedioha in the three LGAs of Mbaise were greater than the total number of registered voters in the entire Owerri Zone. This feat made Hon. Uche Nwosu the then candidate of AA in the same election to say ” in the three LGAs of Mbaise, dead men and women came out of their graves, voted for Emeka Ihedioha and went back to their graves.” This goes to show how fraudulent the said Emeka Ihedioha and his men acted in that election.

It was these errors that the Supreme Court of Nigeria in their wisdom and sincerity, having seen the injustice and malpractices done in the election and intentionally against Senator Hope Uzodinma who won the election, sacked Emeka Ihedioha and returned Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma as the rightful winner of the election, and that is the right thing to do.

With the decision of the Supreme Court of Nigeria sacking Emeka Ihedioha, it then follows that Ihedioha was never a Governor and should not be addressed as such. This was the singular reason for which Ganduje the Governor of Kano State did not recognize Emeka Ihedioha because a man who armed-robbed himself into the Government House of the State deserves no recognition.

Hon Emeka Ihedioha must know, understand and put to heart the fact that by Provisions of the Law, he was never and has never been a Governor of Imo State and this understanding will help him remove his mind from where he does not belong to, and save him from further heartbreak.
Ihedioha is not the first person to be sacked by the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the State must not fall because he was sacked.
