Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has mocked the APC 2023 presidential candidate, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the slogan ‘EMILOKAN’ a Yoruba word that means “IT’S MY TURN.”

Addressing guests a day after Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid him a courtesy visit in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Obasanjo said that he was making gest of Tinubu when he visited him for having invented several new Yoruba political vocabularies such as Emi Lokan, Eleyi, O lu le.

In the video shared on the 9News Nigeria WhatsApp platform, Obasanjo continued in the Yoruba language to say that he told Tinubu that those words are nice words and that they can be accepted and used as new Yoruba political vocabularies.

Obasanjo said in the Yoruba language: “Yesterday, when I received a visitor, I said to him, visitor, you have invented a new vocabulary in the Yoruba political dictionary, Emi Lokan, Eleyi, O lu le. He himself (the visitor) laughed and laughed as well. I said to him that I don’t know about these new vocabularies, but they are good oo, we will start to use them though they are new.”

9News Nigeria had reported that the APC party presidential candidate, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu took a bold step to end many years of supremacy battle with Obasanjo as he paid homage at the former president’s Abeokuta hilltop mansion to seek elderly blessings ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
