Amid the ongoing #End Bad Governance protests, youths in Kano have taken to the streets waving Russian flags and calling for intervention from Russia President, Vladimir Putin.
The protesters first took to to the streets on Thursday, August 1, to demand better governance and an end to pressing issues such as food inflation, general inflation, and high cost of living conditions in Nigeria.
The unusual display of Russian flags highlights the protesters frustration with the home government’s handling of economic crisis, which has intensified hunger and hardship.
The protesters’ in their numbers demands for Putin’s intervention, which reflect the growing discontent among Nigerians who feels their grievances are not being addressed by their own government, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
However, the End Bad Governance protests in Kano State, attracted a significant number of participants, as the angry residents took to the streets, demanding improved governance and an end to pressing issues like food inflation, general inflation, and the high cost of living.
