
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has been honoured with the African Leader in People-Centric Governance Award, presented by Security Watch Africa, in recognition of his people-focused leadership and commitment to good governance.
Speaking after receiving the award, Governor Eno dedicated the honour to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, CON; President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON; members of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council; and the people of Akwa Ibom State.
The governor described the award as a collective achievement, stressing that it reflects the strength of unity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to service.
“I dedicate this honour to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, CON, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, members of the State Executive Council, and the good people of Akwa Ibom State. This recognition belongs to all of us and reflects what we can achieve through unity, collaboration and a shared commitment to service,” he said.
Governor Eno also thanked Security Watch Africa for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining quality, people-oriented governance.
He pledged to continue serving the people of Akwa Ibom State with diligence, humility, and the fear of God.
