Arsenal produced a dramatic late comeback to beat Newcastle 2-1 in a thrilling Premier League clash on Sunday.
The visitors looked set for victory after Woltemade’s first-half strike gave Newcastle a deserved lead heading into the break.
The Magpies defended resolutely for much of the second half, frustrating Mikel Arteta’s men and threatening to claim all three points at the Emirates.
But Arsenal found a way back into the game late on. Mikel Merino levelled the score in the 84th minute with a well-placed effort, sparking a frantic finale.
Deep into stoppage time, Gabriel rose highest from a corner to power home a header and seal a crucial win for the Gunners.
The victory lifts Arsenal up to second place in the table as they continue their push for the Premier League title.
