Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has explained why his new signing, Alexis Sanchez missed drugs test.
The Portuguese said neither Arsenal nor Manchester United are at fault in the missed drug test.
Drug testers arrived at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground just hours before Sanchez’s transfer was officially announced.
Sanchez was missing and had failed to inform UK Anti-Doping of his whereabouts.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger had on Friday said his club would take full responsibility for failing to report Sanchez’s absence, but Mourinho felt it was nothing more than an accidental mix-up.
The Portuguese coach said, “I think Arsenal were very honest with the way they approached the situation.
“We all know we must tell the whereabouts of our players, where they are 24 hours a day, but I think everybody understands nobody knew where Sanchez was going to be, where he was going to train, and where he was to sleep
“It was just a period of transfer. It’s easily understandable and it was no one’s mistake.
“It was just a consequence of the moment.”
