EPL: Why Liverpool is better than Manchester United – Mourinho opens up

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has admitted the huge gap between his team and Liverpool, is due to many factors.

Mourinho takes United to Anfield on Sunday, with his side sitting some 16 points behind the Premier League leaders.

They’ve lost four matches in the league this season, while Liverpool have remained undefeated.

“It’s not just about the money they spend in the summer, is about many things.

“It’s not just about spending money and reinforcing the squad, a football team is more than that, is not just about spending the money.

“It’s like a house, it’s not just about buying the furniture, you have to do work, you spend money on the best possible furniture and then you’re ready to live in an amazing house,” Mourinho told UK Mirror.

Mourinho then delivered the killer line when he was asked how far away his team are from what he wants to be seeing, placed in the context of Jurgen Klopp continually getting the best out of his Liverpool players.

“Far,” he said, simply.

And then when asked why, he replied: “The reasons I was saying. It’s not just about spending.”
