EQUITY: Imo Is Our State, Collectively, We’ll Attract Needed Development- Charles Orie Speaks

Applauding Governor Uzodinma’s effort in making Imo charter of equity workable, a frontline gubernatorial aspirant, Akuatuegwu Charles Orie has reiterated his commitment to bring together Imo business experts targetted at instilling joint efforts to salvage Imo State, the Eastern Heartland, irrespective of political affiliations and zonal sentiments.

Charles Orie who hails from Umuokanne in the Old Owerri Zone, made this assertion at a news chat with 9News Nigeria, Thursday evening from his office in France. Chief Orie reassured his readiness to consolidate on the already established signature development strides set in place by His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma CON.

Chief Orie noted with nostalgia, the way politics is being played in this clime and called for enhanced understanding, love for one another and motivation for inclusivity of women and youths to balance the tempo.

Imo Guber Aspirant Akuatuegwu hinted on the need for Imolites in diaspora alongside other businesses merchants across the globe to invest in Imo State. He told 9News Nigeria that France’s development and business growth isn’t dependent on Nigerians or USA but France citizens who saw the importance of developing their country and establish therein.

In his words, 70% of business and infrastructural base of states in France are France made. But over here in Imo we are yet to be proud of Imo base products. “Let me shock you, Imo local contents, ie Imo products, if properly harnessed will top the most business window abroad. This is because our citizens across the globe will help in marketing Imo made trademarks to countries of the world. I have the connectivity and business plan.

As an international business chieftian, grassroot politician and administrator , Chief Charles Orie did not end at promoting Imo base products on mere rhetorics , he further harped on proper standardization and efficient regularization of production accessibility across sectors.

On this therefore, Orie is poised to salvage Imo State Nigeria by upgrading it to an enviable economic hub in the South East region.

In furtherance, he applauded the efforts of the shared prosperity administration under His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma alongside , the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for inculcating into Imo policy plan, internally generation and distribution of power, Imo -Oguta proposed sea port, upgrade of an international airport quality road network, development of market sites and unrelenting efforts in checking insecurity in the state.

The sustenance of the above steps will no doubt help in revamping business trust and securing the environment for developers and investors to cash in. Orie told 9News Nigeria on this exclusive chat, that Imo State has great sons and daughters that are yelling to cash into proper investment in the state but a secured environment is most paramount. He therefore promised to tap into massive revamp of moribund industries as a catcher trajectory to boost the Imo economic base.

He highlighted some moribund industries and business base like avutu poultry, Okigwe ceramic, Imo rice farm , Imo standard sheo company, Imo cluster market, orlu regional market and agro revolution base like massive palm production alongside cashew, coconut, bitter cola, maize farming and proffered possible solution to tackle unproductivity in the above mentioned sectors.

Speaking on Oil and Gas, products are expected to be circulating within the state to reduce scarcity and lack. Market commodities will stabilize immediately production becomes efficient and duly regularized, Chief Orie hinted.

Adding to his proposed policy plan to improve Imo economic base, Chief Orie maintained his words in assuring Imolites that he’ll make Imo diversify from civil service state to a huge economic production state through concerted approach and consolidated efforts.

He frowned at the rate of unemployment in the state which survey has indicated as the major cause of corruption and criminality in the land, and promised to create massive employment and entrepreneurial revolution across the state. “To achieve these plans is very easy with an already target driven leader like Charles Orie becoming the Governor of the state in the 2027 contest.

He noted that politics is not the true test of leaders and therefore beckon on Nde Imo to choose a true democratic, technocrat and development driven Governorship candidate in the upcoming election. Orie added that his happiness resonates on this clarity of sense of direction to project the best candidate to salvage the state and empower the people.

In his goodwill, capacity capability, connectivity in the mainstream of politics and most importantly wide spread in his guber acceptability, Charles Orie is ready to deliver.

Meanwhile, in the context of politics, “equity” refers to the principle of fairness and justice in the distribution of resources, opportunities, and benefits within a society or community. It involves promoting equality and addressing historical or systemic inequalities, often with a focus on marginalized or underrepresented groups.

By promoting equity, politicians and policymakers can help create a more just and inclusive society, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Imo will be proud of the incoming Governor that will surface from area where the opposition will least expect and by so doing, the modus operandi will be sustained.

He therefore called on every Imo electorate to embrace his Governorship aspiration on the basis that his leadership plan is worthy of assimilation as a landmark in the evolution of development across all rural communities in the three senatorial zones of Imo State.
