American boxer, Terence “Bud” Crawford cemented his place among boxing’s all-time greats, outclassing Mexican superstar Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez over twelve rounds to claim a unanimous decision.
This result also handed him the title of the first male fighter in history to be an undisputed champion in three weight divisions.
Before more than 70,000 fans at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday 13 September, 2025, the Nebraska native showcased masterful movement, timing, and defense to neutralize Álvarez’s power.
Judges scored the fight 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113, all in favor of Crawford.
Crawford out-landed Álvarez in total punches, with a higher connect percentage.
Although, Álvarez landed his signature power shots in spots, he was unable to sustain pressure or cut off the ring consistently.
“This is history. Canelo is a great champion, but tonight I showed why I belong among the best ever.” Crawford said post-fight.
