Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano has ADMONISHED the EXEMPLARY leadership qualities exhibited over the years by the former Commonwealth of Nations Secretary-General, Ambassador Emeka ANYAOKU.

Obiano who spoke on a theme of the 2021 Lecture series held in Awka in honour of Ambassador Chief ANYAOKU, said it was a thing of joy that at 30 years old then with his good leadership potential has inspired successive generations across continents, cultures and religion.

Speaking with the press, Obiano stated that in ANAMBRA state, his team have made great efforts to carry the lamp of excellence which the former commonwealth secretary-general ANYAOKU had lifted very high on the International stage.

He further reaffirmed that with dignity and honour, the Anambra state government have sought innovative and effective ways of touching lives and changing the landscape with good Governance.

Having Emeka ANYAOKU leadership potential as a case study, the governor said he was excited by the fact that as NIGERIA’s alternative representative in the United Nations Special Committee on Apartheid, Ambassador Emeka ANYAOKU drafted the resolution that changed the way the world treated political detainees in South Africa during the Apartheid era.
